School Goals
Our goal is for all students to be in class 95% of the time. This is the equivalent of missing approximately 1 full day per month or 9 days during the school year. Some families have asked why we’ve placed so much focus on attendance. The answer is because research shows that attendance matters. Look at these quick facts from the Education Advisory Board:
Students who miss 2 or more days a month in high school are 7 times more likely to drop out by senior year.
-
Students who miss 10 days by December are more likely to fail at least one class.
-
Almost 90% of students that miss 15 days a year in high school drop out of college.
We want all Huskies to graduate on time and be successful in the community, at college, and in their career. We will continue to support students to develop the knowledge, skills, and habits needed for success, and look forward to partnering with you to make that happen.
